Saturday, May 2, 2015 at 2 pm.

In celebration of a display of ladies’ hats from the permanent collections of the Historical Society, we invite you to attend a tea party resplendent with hot tea, scones, finger sandwiches, and sweet things on which to munch.

Wear your craziest, your zaniest, your Kentucky Derby chapeau, your grandmother’s picture hat, but don’t come to the Tea Party without your hat. Your grandmother would be appalled! Red Hat Societies are welcome and we invite the men of the community to attend as well. And yes, you may wear a hat indoors!

Several prizes will be awarded at the Tea for the crowd favorites!

As well, a wonderful ‘Hats’ banner and a ‘Hats’ centerpiece made by Carol Sones Shetler will also be given away in a raffle on that day. However, we are currently selling the raffle tickets- one for $1, six for $5. If you register for the tea, you will automatically be entered for one chance to win!

Pre-registration for the tea is strongly urged as we need a hat-count (!!!) for the adequate number of refreshments. Please register by Wednesday, April 29.
