The Thomas T. Taber Museum of the Lycoming County Historical Society chronicles the history of our region from American Indian occupation through 20th century industry and life.

LCHS registered in ‘Raise the Region’

The Lycoming County Historical Society and Thomas T. Taber Museum is excited to be registered in the third annual ‘Raise the Region’ fundraising event.

We ask that you show your support of local history on March 11th & 12th!  raisetheregion-1424362686

We will be focusing on three prizes. They are:
The WalMart Green Flag Prize- the first 5 nonprofits with 10 gifts (not unique donors) will receive an additional $1,000
Larson Design Group’s Midnight Prize- $1,000 added to the donation that is made closest to midnight (12:00am on March 12th)
Founders Prize- $1,000 added to the donation that comes the closest to 19:16 (7:16 pm) on March 12th.

On Wednesday, March 11th at 6:00 PM through 11:59 PM on Thursday, March 12th the public is encouraged to visit and select participating nonprofits to support and your gift will be stretched by the matching contribution from Blaise Alexander Family Dealerships. Your donation(s) can also help raise additional support for the nonprofits selected by qualifying them for monetary prizes. All gifts are tax deductible and will help make your favorite nonprofits mission possible.

Nonprofit participation in Raise the Region is available to 501c3 organizations serving residents in Columbia, Lycoming, Montour, Northumberland, Snyder, or Union Counties. Preregistration is required by Friday, February 20, 2015. For nonprofits interested in registering for this event, please visit Higher Education Institutions, programs with fiscal agents, and government/public taxing entities are not eligible to participate in Raise the Region.
