The Thomas T. Taber Museum hosted its first Coffee Hour of the 2024 season on Thursday, March 14th. Matthew T. Carl was the guest speaker, discussing his new publication, LAQUIN: The Rise and Fall of a Pennsylvania Lumber Town.
Laquin is located on Barclay Mountain, Bradford County. The book supports the work of the LeRoy Heritage Museum, where the largest collection of Laquin artifacts can be found on display. Matthew Carl is the founding president of the LeRoy Heritage Museum and also the Executive Director of the Bradford County Historical Society.
The Coffee Hour was underwritten by a generous grant from VanCampen Motors.
