Chris YohnAuthor Chris Yohn lectured at the Taber Museum on Saturday, July 25, 2026 on his recently-published book, Liberty’s Land: A true-life novel of the American Revolution where rugged frontier Pennsylvanians rose to shape a nation’s destiny. Yohn’s lecture was part of the America250 celebration at the Taber Museum.

Centered around the ‘faces and places of the West Branch of the Susquehanna River’, the author writes “Liberty’s Land is a true story. The characters are real people. Extensively researched across many diverse sources, the story was teased back to life from an extremely fragmented historical record. In rare places where the record conflicts or breaks down entirely, I reasoned through the most logical scenario rather than omit a pivotal event…”

Yohn's book is available in the Museum Store at a cost of $16.00 plus Pennsylvania tax. Museum members receive a 10% discount.

The Lecture Series was supported with grant monies from the Lycoming County Visitors’ Bureau Travel and Tourism Grant and the Catherine Burns Insurance Services of Muncy.
