The Taber Museum hosted baseball historian Lou Hunsinger, Jr. at its Coffee Hour on Thursday, June 13, 2024. Hunsinger spoke on the topic on ‘The Negro Leagues: Respect & Recognition’. The lecture was held in association with the celebration of Juneteenth (June 19).

Louis E. Hunsinger Jr. lives in Williamsport, and has written extensively on local history as well local professional baseball history. He is freelance writer for local newspapers and news outlets. He has had articles published in "The National Pastime," as well as in the "Biographical Encyclopedia of American Sports." He is a member of the Society of American Baseball Research (SABR), the Jimmy Sebring-George Stovey Chapter which meets in Williamsport. He has a bachelor's degree in Political Science with minors in History and Journalism.
