Bottles & Brews VI was a wonderful night of beer, wine and spirits tasting. The well attended LCHS fundraiser also offered food of all sorts for the guests. The Museum raised over $11,725 to support its mission.
The annual event has become a tradition with Lycoming County beer drinkers, who have the opportunity to taste the latest national and local brews.
Attendees could taste from a number of brewers including Old Forge, New Trail, Founders, Sly Fox, Straub, Yuengling, Oskar Blues, Riepstine's, Sobel's Obscure Brewery, and Samuel Adams, arranged through the cooperative efforts of Museum partner Mid-State Beverage Company. Professional local craft brewers and vintners included the Bullfrog Brewery, Therapy Brewing, Boom City Brewing, and Bastress Mountain Winery and Mountain Top Distillery. A number of amateur craft beer brewers of the Billtown Brewers Guild brewed special beers as well as vintners ECM Cellars and Fife and Drum Winery. Alabaster Coffee Roasters and Backhouse Cafe offered brews of a non-alcoholic sort.
Chef Hosch & Ann Catering, Moon & Raven Public House and Peter Herdic House Restaurant were present with tasty treats, while Santino's Restaurant, Wegman's, Weis Markets and Pudgies Pizza provided additional food for the hungry crowd. Thanks also the Board and other friends who baked and created food for the event.
Thank-you to our anonymous craftsman who built the wonderful and popular handmade wooden buckets used to fill the ‘Buckets of Cheer,’ that were raffled off during the evening. Winning one of the buckets was a goal of most of the guests. Also raffled off - a signed Yuengling football and vintage toy beer truck.
Thanks to all who helped to make 2018 another successful year for Bottles Brews. Special thanks to Mid-State Beverage Company for partnering with us to bring in multiple brewing companies and for their help organizing the event, and to Susquehanna Gallery and Frame Shoppe for providing the signage and admission tickets to the event!
