Flappers and gangsters returned to Farrington Place on the evening of Saturday, February 16, 2019, for a fun-filled evening of food, spirits and chance, all to raise money for the Lycoming County Historical Society. (More pictures at the bottom of the page.)
The 4 hour event featured a spread of food and an open bar of liquor, wine and beer. The catered hors d’oeuvres included sliders of beef and pork, pretzels with cheese sauce, pasta, cheeses, shrimp and a raw oyster bar. Desserts were served later in the evening.
The gaming tables were open for two hours, allowing the guests to play and win. And win they did! Folks were seen with wads of cash, wandering from table to table.
All that cash was then traded for tickets used to enter the drawing for fabulous prizes, which were awarded before the night ended. Prizes were also given for the best dressed.
