The Lycoming County business community was at the Taber Museum on Thursday, February 22, for a Chamber of Commerce PM Exchange event. About 150 Chamber members visited during the 2 hour event.
The Chamber visitors were able to tour all the Museum galleries, and were treated to a "behind the scenes" tour with Director Gary Parks. Cameramen from the Shutterbugs were set up in the dress-up areas and some of the visitors walked out with photographs of themselves as Victorian ladies and gentlemen.
A variety of hors d'oeuvres and desserts were provided by the Museum's Board of Governors. Generous contributions by two local brewers and a vintner provided beverages. Bart Rieppel of Reipstine's Pub and Mark Lorson of Boom City Brewing served the guests locally brewed beer while Ed Metzger of ECM Cellars poured a selection of wines.
The Museum staff appreciated the opportunity to interact with our community business leadership, to demonstrate the important work the Thomas T. Taber Museum provides to this region.
