Matthew Dodd, ‘Songs And Stories Of Old Railroad Days’On Thursday, May 12, The Thomas T. Taber Museum of the Lycoming County Historical Society hosted a performance by Matthew Dodd,who presented ‘Songs and Stories of Old Railroad Days’. The event was well attended, with more than 50 members of the public present.

The performance was free and open to the public. Refreshments were available.

The Lecture Series of 2016 is exploring the musical heritage of Lycoming County and central Pennsylvania. The Series is underwritten with a generous contribution from the Woodcock Foundation for the Appreciation of the Arts.

Matthew Dodd, a native of Mechanicsburg, dressed in period costume and played songs of the Railroad Era. The musical instruments on which he performed included the guitar, banjo, harmonica, mandolin and concertina.
