President Abraham Lincoln made a rare appearance at the Taber Museum on Monday evening, July 20, 2026 courtesy of America250 with grant monies from the Lycoming County Visitors’ Bureau Travel and Tourism Grant and the Catherine Burns Insurance Services of Muncy.
President Lincoln was portrayed by James Hayney who is a veteran actor and professional Abraham Lincoln historical interpreter based near Harrisburg, PA. Since 2005, he has brought the 16th president to life at events nationwide, including the National Civil War Museum and the Lincoln Leadership Institute at Gettysburg. Hayney is a life member of the Association of Lincoln Presenters and is noted for his striking physical resemblance and deep historical knowledge.
The presentation was attended by 94 visitors.
