Black Fuzzy Wuzzy Teddy BearThe 2024 Holiday Exhibit was a return to the theme of Teddy Bears. Entitled “Spirit of Love: Teddies At The Taber”, the exhibit premiered on Friday, December 6, 2024, and remained open through Saturday, January 11, 2025.

We asked for the help of the public in loaning us treasured teddies for the exhibit. The exhibit included 74 bears - each one cute and charming in his or her own way! Some were dog-eared (well, bear-eared) and some were pristine and never out of the boxes. Many of the bears came with a story.

Visitors voted for their favorites, and . . .the votes are in! Voted as the favorite was the Black Fuzzy Wuzzy Teddy Bear, No. #9. Its bear caretakers are Lynn and Myrl Kibbe . He was produced by Ditz Designs.

Williamsport Area School District Marching Band bearReceiving the second most votes was a bear designed by Penny French and outfitted as a Williamsport Area School District Marching Band member. The bear was designed for Andrew Baker, who marched as part of the Marching Band’s appearance in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. While attending the Parade, the family spotted a PENNY (Get it- Penny French!) and the penny is a now a token around the bear’s neck. The bear’s Godmother Susan Baker loaned us the bear.

The sledding party of a family of three polar bears which belongs to Pat Damaska, captured third place.
