We welcome a new member to the Lycoming County Historical Society Board of Governors.
Local attorney Austin White was elected to the Board at the annual meeting. Originally from the Lehigh Valley, he attended Nazareth High School and East Stroudsburg University before receiving his law degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. He is associated with McCormick Law Firm where he practices civil litigation, municipal law, and intellectual property law. He is a member of the Lycoming Law Association and the Kiwanis of Williamsport.
As a Board member, he “hopes to get a better understanding of the rich history of Lycoming County, and to help as much as I can to support the society.”
His hobbies include birding, photography and “tuning sports cars, and racing cars when I have the opportunity. I run Williamsport Cars & Coffee, a local monthly car event.” He and his wife Elizabeth reside in Fairfield Township.
We also welcome back to the Board old friend and former Board President, John Raymond. While on the Board during a previous term, John was very active in Museum fundraising activity. He remained the Chair of the FUNdraising Committee and has been in the forefront of successful Bottles & Brews, CasinoEvil and Yestershoppe events.
John was also elected during the April annual meeting.
