The Taber Museum is sponsoring a bus trip to The Barnes Foundation in Philadelphia on Saturday, May 31, 2025. The Barnes includes artworks of Renoir, Cezanne, Matisse, Picasso, Van Gogh, Modigliani and so much more. The cost of $150.00 per person will include round-trip transportation, admission to The Barnes and a box lunch. The public is invited. There is no Taber member discount. We will be divided into five groups of ten people per group for a guided tour. The Benedict Bus service will leave the Burger King parking lot on Maynard Street at 5:30am and will return back to Williamsport at approximately 10pm.
Your choice of box lunch will be a grilled veggie/vegan sandwich (squash, zucchini, red bell pepper, portabella mushroom, arugula, espelette aioli, ciabatta roll); a turkey croissant (oven roasted turkey breast, swiss cheese, sliced tomato, arugula, green goddess dressing); or a grilled chicken wrap (blackened chicken, applewood smoked bacon, sliced tomato, bib lettuce, avocado mayo, flour tortilla). Beverages are not included with the box lunch, but will be available for purchase.
After touring and lunch, you will have the opportunity to remain at The Barnes or to visit one of the amazing attractions nearby (on foot). The Philadelphia Museum of Art and the Rodin Museum are within walking distance. The bus will leave promptly from the Barnes location at 5:30pm. Space is limited to fifty participants. A number of people have already signed up and so, please do not delay in signing up if interested. Your payment will reserve your place on the bus at The Barnes! Please call the Museum at 570.326.3326 for more information.
