The Taber Museum is pleased to offer a holiday card featuring an art quilt of Wendy Etzel. The quilt, “A Victorian Winter in 1872”, depicts the Peck House in Williamsport. The house is shown when in its youth, unveiling “the beauty of its silhouette as well as the extraordinary details that embellished its framework. Obviously, the skilled architect designing the structure placed no bounds on his imagination.”
Wendy Etzel was captivated by the wonderful old mansions that dominated the area. An afternoon quilting class ignited the spark that has guided Wendy these past 45 years. As a professional quilting teacher, she has conducted classes across the USA, and has crossed the borders into Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. In 1994 her first book, Houses of Cloth, featuring several of Williamsport's historic homes (including the Peck House on the cover) was chosen as the best new book at the Houston Quilt Market.
The card comes in a box of 10.
