Gary ParksWilliamsport- The Taber Museum will be will be hosting one of its own, Executive Director Gary Parks, as a ‘quizmaster’ at its Coffee Hour on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at 10am. The program will be held in the Community Room of the Taber Museum. It is free and open to the public.

Phrases that are in frequent usage have interesting origins and Gary and the audience will explore the derivation of the phrases. The room might even be divided into teams, competing against one another. While in attendance, visitors will be able to view the Susquehanna Valley Shutterbugs recently-opened exhibit, “A Night at the Museum.”

The lecture continues a series of fourteen lectures, combining the Thursday morning Coffee Hours with Sunday afternoon Society Programs. On Sunday, October 17, playwright Robert Hughes will be presenting An Interview with Franklin Delano Roosevelt: Defender of Democracy. The presentation, which will begin at 2pm, is also free and open to the public.

Social distancing is suggested, and the use of face masks are required unless the participant is fully vaccinated. The Lecture Series is underwritten by the Woodcock Foundation for the Appreciation of the Arts.
