cardWilliamsport- The Taber Museum invites parents to bring their children on Sunday, December 5, 2021, from 2:00pm until 4:00pm. During that time, the museum will supply Christmas cards for coloring, construction paper for the children if they wish to create their own Christmas cards, and crayons. The cards were donated by former art teacher Shirley Dieffenbach.

The ‘workshop’ will be conducted within the Community Room of the Museum and will be ongoing as the parents/guardians enjoy the Holiday Exhibit and Ornament Sale. The Holiday Exhibit is entitled ‘My Favorite Gift’ and will feature items treasured by lenders to the exhibit. As well, a sale of ornaments created by some of the most talented artists from the area including Deb Parsons (lampworked glass), Mickey Mapstone (birds), Catheal Weiser (Ukrainian eggs), Mike Swanger(blown glass), Jackie Thomas(felted ornaments),Sara Kiehl (calligraphy & wood art), Nadine Sapiente (stained glass), Meg Smith (wire and gemstones), Erma Wood is (mini paintings), Mallory Gardner (felted animals)and our featured artist Linda Campbell (ceramics). Many of the artists will feature their other creative works including jewelry, sculpture, handbags, pottery, andfiber wearables. As well, candles created by Miles Welby A Candle Company expressly for the museum will be available for purchase.

No purchase is necessary for the children to attend the workshop, but pre-registration is strongly recommended as a limited amount of space for the workshop is available. The museum is located at 858 West Fourth Street, Williamsport. Parking is available behind the museum or on the street.
