Honey, I shrunk the Rooms at the Taber: Miniature Room SettingsThe Thomas T. Taber Museum of the Lycoming County Historical Society has announced the theme of its Holiday exhibit: Honey, I shrunk the Rooms at the Taber: Miniature Room Settings. The exhibit will feature ninety miniature room settings designed by Becky Bird. The holiday exhibit will open on Thursday, December 7, 2017 and continue through Saturday, January 20, 2018.

Becky was born and raised in Williamsport, but now divides her time between Eagles Mere and Florida. Over an approximate 3-1/2 year period, Becky created the room settings, reflecting businesses (bakery, taxidermy, gas station, beauty shop, silversmith, hat shop, jewelry store), rooms from a house (dining room, laundry, bedrooms from different periods of time), garden settings and fairy tales. They are exquisite in detail! Down to a cash register filled with cash, knives, forks and spoons on the table, bars of soap, tiny necklaces, etc...

The room settings are in a series of cabinets which they will be in for the exhibit. Until recently, they were displayed at the Eagles Mere Museum, but now they have been donated to the Taber Museum and after the holidays, many of them will be dispersed throughout the museum.
