SterngoldWilliamsport- The Thomas T. Taber Museum of the Lycoming County Historical Society will host photographer Arthur Sterngold at its Society Program on Sunday, September 20, 2026 at 2pm. Sterngold, a retired Lycoming College professor, will present “Pigs, People, Ribbons and Rides: A photographic odyssey through the county fairs of the Pennsylvania Heartland.”The presentation is a “journey into one of our region’s most enduring community traditions.”Looking beyond the tractor pulls and funnel cake stands, Sterngold uses his photography to explore the people, places and unexpected moments that give county fairs their distinctive character. The presentation is free and open to the public and will be held in the Community Room of the museum.

As this lecture coincides with the third Sunday of the month, admission to the Museum is free. The museum is located at 858 West Fourth Street, Williamsport.
