Williamsport: The public is invited to meet President Abraham Lincoln, making a rare appearance at the Thomas T. Taber Museum of the Lycoming County Historical Society on Monday evening, July 20, 2026, at 7pm. President Lincoln will appear courtesy of America250 with grant monies from the Lycoming County Visitors’ Bureau Travel and Tourism Grant and the Catherine Burns Insurance Services of Muncy. The meeting will be held in the Community Room and the presentation is free and open to the public.
President Lincoln will be portrayed by James Hayney who is a veteran actor and professional Abraham Lincoln historical interpreter based near Harrisburg, PA. Since 2005, he has brought the 16th president to life at events nationwide, including the National Civil War Museum and the Lincoln Leadership Institute at Gettysburg. Hayney is a life member of the Association of Lincoln Presenters and is noted for his striking physical resemblance and deep historical knowledge.
