Abigail AdamsWilliamsport- The Thomas T. Taber Museum of the Lycoming County Historical Society will host its second Coffee Hour of the 2026 season on Thursday, April 9th, at 10am, with an appearance by First Lady Abigail Adams. Abigail was the wife of John Adams, second President of the United States. The Lecture Series which continues throughout the year is sponsored by Catherine Burns Insurance Services, Muncy. As well, the Series is co-sponsored by a Travel and Tourism Grant from the Lycoming County Visitors Bureau. The Lecture Series features a number of exciting programs and reenactors to celebrate the history and heritage of the country’s 250th birthday.

Abigial Adams was a well-educated First Lady, often influencing her husband in his Presidential decisions and admonishing him to ‘remember the ladies’. She was also the mother of the fourth President of the United States John Quincy Adams.

The lecture will be held in the Community Room of the Taber Museum and is free and open to the public. Light refreshments are served. The museum is located at 858 West Fourth Street, Williamsport.
