This year's Holiday Exhibit is a return to the theme of Teddy Bears. Entitled “Spirit of Love: Teddies At The Taber”,
the exhibit premiered on Friday, December 6, 2024, and remain open
through Saturday, January 11, 2025.
We asked for the help of the public in loaning us your treasured teddies for the exhibit. We promised that we will not let them escape, nor will we overfeed them.
This year's exhibit includes 74 bears - each one cute and charming in his or her own way! Some were dog-eared (well, bear-eared) and some were pristine and never out of the boxes. Many of the bears come with a story, which are shared as a part of the exhibit!
We have reproduced a Greeting Card just in time for the holiday you might consider buying a pack or two. It features Tom Taber’s childhood teddy bear reading “A Christmas Carol”. This particular booklet was produced by L.L. Stearns Department Store.
The Museum is located at 858 West Fourth Street, Williamsport. Ample parking may be found in the parking lot behind the building or on the street. For further information, please call at 570.326.3326.
