Williamsport- A Motorcycle Road Rally which begins at the Thomas T. Taber Museum of the Lycoming County Historical Society, 858 West Fourth Street, Williamsport, at 7:45am on Saturday, May 27, 2023. The Rally will culminate in Eagles Mere. The participants will enjoy donuts and coffee at the Taber before heading out. After arriving in Eagles Mere, the participants will be given a private tour of the Eagles Mere Air & Auto Museums, from 9:00-11:00am, which are currently closed to the general public. The Air Museum at Merritt Field is situated atop a mountain in the beautiful Endless Mountain Range and features a private collection of vintage aircraft (1917-1944). The Auto Museum is next door to the Air Museum and displays an amazing array of highly collectible vehicles and vintage memorabilia.
From 11:30am until 12:30, the attendees will tour a privately-owned bike shop which displays over 100 motorcycles including Harleys, Indians, BMWs, Triumphs, Nortons, Hondas, BSAs, Hodakas and more. Finally, at 12:30, the bikers will enjoy a luncheon at the renovated Eagles Mere Inn.
The rally is limited to 30 participants at a cost of $30 per person. The tickets will include the meal and the Eagles Mere tours. Tickets will be sold on Wednesday, May 24 at the Horsepower Harley Davidson Motorcycle Shop at 1910 East Third Street, Williamsport, PA. Tickets will be sold from 6-8pm. Tickets, driving directions and itineraries will be handed out on that day, and food and drink choices may be selected at that time. A limited number of tickets may be available on the morning of the event which is a rain or shine event.
