As Ol’ Man Winter blankets the landscape with a crystalline purity of snow, the Thomas T. Taber Museum of the Lycoming County Historical Society invites you to Skates, Sleds, Sleighs and Stockings: a Taber Holiday Exhibit.
Our holiday exhibit will take place in our Community Room. The Historical Society will be displaying a selection of ice skates, children’s sleds, sleighs and STOCKINGS WHICH WERE HUNG BY THE CHIMNEY WITH CARE from the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.
We are particularly interested in borrowing your family stockings, but would be interested in borrowing your vintage ice skates, painted sleds, and miniatures of skates, sleds, sleighs, and stockings for the exhibit!
The items will be on display from December 4, 2018 until January 19, 2019.
