This is an available position at the Lycoming County Historical Society. It is an unpaid volunteer position.
Goals:
- To develop a number of activities suitable for children and families which reveal to the participants an aspect of history, but could be accomplished through literature, arts and crafts, outdoor activities, nature & science, etc…
- Solicit ideas for fresh programming from children, parents, educators, and the community at large
- Serve as a liaison between LCHS and school districts in modifying our tours to enhance the curriculum of the school districts
Suggested Qualifications:
- Supervisory experience with children, aged six through teen years
- Creative Mind
- Flexibility of Schedule, including some weekend activities
Requirements:
- Staying within a modest budget
- Clears activities with the Executive Director/Education Committee
- Must submit to a background check/clearance to work with children
