The Taber Museum, located in the heart of the Williamsport Historical District, will be a hub of activity on November 23-24, 2019. That is the weekend of the Preservation Williamsport tour of homes, churches and museums and the Will Huffman Toy Train Expo, among other activities. This year's theme is "Riding Through Time" - Transportation in Victorian Williamsport.
The festivities begin at 6:00 PM on Friday, November 22, with a talk by William E. Nichols, Jr. at Trinity Episcopal Church, 844 East Fourth Street. Nichols will speak on the topic of "Williamsport's Rich & Historic Transportation History." This talk will be followed by the lighting of the Christmas tree at the neighboring Park Place Lawn at 7:00 PM..
On Saturday, November 23, the Taber Museum will be on the Preservation Williamsport house tour. Get a ticket and visit the Museum as a part of the tour. Tickets may be purchased at the Museum.
The Community Room of the Museum will host Will Huffman Toy Expo layouts on Saturday and Sunday, and the Museum will also be open on Sunday, for visiting. The rest of the display will be at Park Place and at the Peter Herdic Transportation Museum, behind the Taber Museum.
You must join us for a fun weekend to kick off the Christmas season.
