The Thomas T. Taber Museum of the Lycoming County Historical Society chronicles the history of our region from American Indian occupation through 20th century industry and life.

So, it looked like it’s silver or silver plate. It seemed to have a hinge. “It’s old.” Those were some of the most common comments. Some folks looked at it and just throw up their hands, with a “Huh!” Others stared and pondered.

The Lycoming County Historical Society was at the 2016 Lycoming County Fair with a new historical artifact problem. Director Gary Parks chose well, and this year’s problem was particularly challenging.
