Taber Museum Society Program to Feature Betsy Koons Robertson, Aide to Nancy Reagan

The Thomas T. Taber Museum of the Lycoming County Historical Society has announced the subject of its September Society Program for Sunday, September 20 at 2:00 pm. Betsy Koons Robertson, former Deputy Press Secretary to First Lady Nancy Reagan, will be speaking on ‘The Reagan Years’ in the museum’s Community Room. A display of memorabilia and a power point presentation will enhance the lecture.

Betsy Robertson served in the Reagan White House for eight years, the latter five as Deputy Press Secretary to Mrs. Reagan. Prior to that, she was the Director of Public and Consumer Affairs for the U.S. Department of Transportation National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Subsequently, Betsy has worked at Susquehanna University as Director of Communications from 1990 until 2006. She is currently the Director of digital and print communications for the University.

The lecture is part of the year-long series entitled ‘Tidbits of History’. It is sponsored by the Woodcock Foundation for the Appreciation of the Arts. As the day coincides with the third Sunday of the month, admission to tour the whole museum is free. Ample parking may be found behind the museum and on the street.
