Summer History Day Camp
The Thomas T. Taber Museum of the Lycoming County Historical Society will be hosting its Summer History Day Camp from July 28 – August 1, 2014. The camp, designed for children ages 8 to 12, runs from 9 am until 12 noon daily.
The camp will focus on American Indian life and frontier culture through a series of gallery visits, hands-on activities and historical demonstrations. Activities will include a simulated archaeological dig, a flintknapping demonstration, Native American friendship dancing and sign language, pottery making, butter making, arts and crafts, and more.
There is a fee and advanced registration is required. Cost is $60 for the children of LCHS members and $70 for the children of non-members. Space is limited, so reserve your place today by completing and returning an application as soon as possible.
