Have Your Birthday Party at the Taber Museum!

Every birthday adds another year to history! Make your own historic memories by having a fun filled Historic Birthday Party.

A Historic Birthday Party package includes the following:

  • Admission to the museum for up to 10 children and accompanying adults
  • Signage with the birthday child’s name for all to see
  • Use of community room with tables and chairs
  • Tour of the museum by our docent delivered at the appropriate age level
  • A gift bag

Cost of the party:

  • $125 for up to 10 children with accompanying adults
  • $10 charge for each additional child


  • Parties are scheduled during regular Museum hours. Parties that extend beyond scheduled hours will be charged an additional fee.
  • Party must be booked two weeks in advance.
  • 50% nonrefundable deposit is required at time of booking to guarantee date.
  • Historical Society members receive a 10% discount on one birthday party a year (does not apply to business or corporate memberships)
  • Party must last no longer than 2 ½ hours.
  • Scheduling depends on Museum availability and policies.

Consider hosting your next special event at the Taber Museum. The Taber Museum can be used as a unique setting for receptions, personal and corporate parties, ceremonies, weddings and seminars.

Whether a large public event or a small family party, the Museum can offer a unique setting where you can make your own history!

Available Spaces:

  • Community room – perfect for meetings and parties
  • Entire museum is available for a corporate gathering

Services included with space rental:

  • Table and chair set up
  • On site personnel
  • Admission to museum

Rental Rates:

  • $200 for use of Community Room for four hours* ($150 for non-profit groups and Lycoming County Historical Society members)
  • $300 for use of Community Room for four hours when museum is closed ($250 for nonprofit groups and museum members)
  • $1,000 for rental of entire museum for five hours (museum will be closed to public for event)
  • $25 additional charge for each hour the event extends beyond normal Museum closing time

Charges for Additional Services:

  • $2 per person for guided tour of the Museum (10 person minimum)
  • $50 for use of Audio Visual equipment (microphone, projector, screen)

Rental Policies:

  • Booking must be made at least two weeks in advance.
  • A 50% nonrefundable deposit must be made at time of booking.
  • Full payment is due 24 hours before the event.
  • Scheduling depends on Museum availability and policies.
