quilts were placed on display in March and will continue through Thursday, April 23. An admission is charged to view the quilts unless the person is a member of the Lycoming County Historical Society.
The Janes have been gathering on a monthly basis since 2001, studying 19th century quilts and their patterns in creating their own contemporary quilts. The quilters adhere to the patterns, fabrics, and sensibilities of their predecessors, however. The group consists of Judith Youngman, Sheridan Goddard Walter, Lindy Mattern, Donna Hoffman, Nancy Celline, Chris Kroboth, Jacalyn Street, Cindy Steele, and Annette Foresman.
